Aledo

It extends through its near 50 km2 by the southern slope of Espuña Mountain. It emphasizes its steep orography, cultivated field of pine groves in its high parts and by vineyards in the trowels.

Surroundings
In their surroundings the natural landscapes of Espuña Mountain are of interest and the tube excavated on rock of El Estrecho de la Agualeja as well as the Cave of the Mauta, in the head of the Boulevard of the Mills. Its municipal districts are Las Canales, Patalache, Noniai and Los Allozos.

To take into account...
The places of greater interest to visit are the Artistic Historical Setting and the Arabic Tower or Calahorra, the rest of the Arab walls and the Church of Santa Maria de la Real.
Its little streets and the walled zone are typical.

The articles made of esparto and the potteries, in the Caserío de Las Canales, dedicated to the manufacture of decorative ceramics are interesting.

In gastronomy, it is necessary to taste popular "gachasmigas" with "tropezones" and the popular Jallullo, made of flour.

Festivals
You can´t miss El Auto de los Reyes Magos, medieval play represented by the neighbours of Aledo in which songs and typical musical pieces are played, and Easter. The local celebrations are in honour to San Agustín, to Ntra. Sra. de la Asunción and the Eighth of the Corpus.
